Terms of Service

Who we are

Readerscope (readerscope.ai) is operated by Continuum Business Partnership Limited (“we”, “us”), registered in England & Wales under company number 14256085, registered office: 5 Sovereign Court, Totteridge Avenue, High Wycombe, HP13 6XL, United Kingdom, in collaboration with Stacks Publishing. The Ideal Reader Profile framework used in the service is © Fleur Hull. Contact: hello@readerscope.ai.

The service

Readerscope is an AI-assisted tool that interviews you about your book and produces an Ideal Reader Profile. Coaching and reports are generated with the help of artificial intelligence based on the information you provide. They are professional guidance and suggestions — not guarantees. We make no promise that using Readerscope will produce any particular sales, marketing, or publishing outcome, and you remain responsible for the decisions you take based on your report.

The service is currently in a beta period. During beta, features may change, and access may require an invite code.

Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live). You are responsible for activity on your account. One account per person; invite codes may be single-use and must not be shared beyond the person they were issued to.

Purchases and refunds

A profile purchase ($29 USD, unless another price is displayed at checkout) buys one profile credit: the full coached interview and report for one book or series, with unlimited revisions and regenerated reports for that profile. Prices may change for future purchases; changes never affect credits you have already bought. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Because the service begins delivering its digital content as soon as you use a credit, you agree that use of a credit waives the statutory cooling-off period for that purchase to the extent permitted by law. That said, if something has gone wrong — a fault, a report that failed to generate, an accidental purchase you haven’t used — email us and we will put it right or refund you.

Your content and ours

You own what you write in Readerscope and the reports generated for you, and you may use them freely. We use your content only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Everything else — the Readerscope name, site, software, design, and the Ideal Reader Profile framework (© Fleur Hull) — belongs to us and our licensors, and may not be copied, resold, or used to build a competing service.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Readerscope for anything unlawful, don’t attempt to break, probe, or overload the service, don’t submit content that is illegal or infringes someone else’s rights, and don’t attempt to extract or misuse the underlying AI systems. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep Readerscope available and your work safe, but the service is provided “as is” and we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free — particularly during beta. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ending your account

You can stop using Readerscope at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing us. We may close accounts that breach these terms. On closure, unused credits are refunded unless the closure is for breach.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date, and continued use of the service after changes means you accept them. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you are a consumer elsewhere you keep any mandatory protections of your home country.
